People say to me…ooh you’re opening a tea shop!!...and I passionately say…’it isn’t a tea shop……well it is I suppose but it’s a funky tea café and so much more than just tea……it’s a place where people can come and chill and have a lot more choice than a soggy teabag dumped in a paper cup!!....it has 40 different types of loose tea…and pyramid tea sacs for anyone who thinks loose tea is a faff (it isn’t by the way…and we will show you how easy it is….and how different REAL tea tastes)…oh yes and we have blooming tea….worth coming in just to see that!!

And they say……cool but are you going to sell coffee? Cos I do like my lattes!....yeah, of course we will sell coffee in fact you will get the best cup of coffee (however you like it) in town!!...we have fabulous coffee machines and amazing coffee and even better we are going to do chocolate shots and iced drinks…so should be something there for everyone…..

And then comes the million quid question….”what got you into that then??”….mmmm well I have done a lot of travelling and spent many hours in coffee shops in England and overseas and it got me really thinking.  I was very tired of the same old style of coffee shop and the lack of imagination and movement.  I am also a big Tea Fan…it is so so cool and healthy and there is something for whatever mood you find yourself in (and we do don’t we??...well I do!)…and then I thought…why if we are a nation of tea drinkers is there not a tea chain in the UK?? And so I kept hearing the quiet voice and seeing the vision of what it could be and now I am doing it!!

I am a true Brit and even though I have been blessed to travel a lot, as far as I am concerned nothing beats the UK and it is always great to be ‘home’, whatever the weather!! and I genuinely believe that not just in these difficult times but at all times it is critical that businesses have a social conscience.
